Once again we are fortunate to bring you good news regarding the future of Angel Protocol. As you well know, our treasure was seriously impacted after the Terra collapse, but that was not a sufficient reason for us to decide to abandon our project or the people and organizations that believed in us from day 1. On the contrary, such an unfortunate event gave us enough reasons to sit down, reflect as a team, rethink our future and return stronger, with innovative solutions!
Right now, we are really excited to share with you our decision to start a validator on the Juno Network. But, why did we decide to make that decision? Well, the reasons are multiple, and we can summarize them under three headings: community, governance and social impact.
We start with the community, because that was our first contact with the Juno Network. After the dark days and nights of Terra’s fall, it was the Juno Network community who first came to us with words of encouragement and helping hands. For us, these actions reflected the principles of a supportive, generous and strong community. Such qualities are essential in the success of any project, as they raise the spirit of the teams to work in a way that honors the trust and support of that community.
Secondly, governance, which is one of the pillars of decentralization and therefore one of the pillars of Web 3 as a whole. Through governance, it is guaranteed that the interests of the blockchain are aligned (or reflect) the interests of the community. Once we started to explore the Juno Network in more depth, we realized almost immediately the importance of governance in this L1. This , filled us with more admiration for it and further inclined us to make the decision to be part of the Juno family.
Last but not least, we have social impact as the third reason that led us to Juno Network. As we explored Juno and all that it had to offer, we came across wonderful human beings and initiatives that made one thing clear to us: Juno Network wants to make a footprint on the world. Not a mere financial or technological imprint, but rather a kind of revolution. Juno wants to show that it is possible to be decentralized, autonomous, secure, community-focused, innovative, user friendly and world friendly at the same time… and we want to be part of it.
The decision to launch our own validator on the Juno Network was made thanks to interacting with a generous community, strong governance, and a chain that is truly looking to make a change. Our values are strongly aligned and that is reason enough for us to want, through our validator, to be part of Juno. To preserve its security, its governance and help guarantee its operation.
Thank you to all of you who have already shown your support for us and we ask that you please consider staking a portion of your $JUNO with us. The yield received will be given in full to our global network of charities and social impact causes.
We are happy to be part of Juno and you can rest assured that we will do our best to honor your trust.
